In plain English
We offer a 14-day free trial so you can decide before you pay. Subscription Fees are generally non-refundable, but you have a statutory right to withdraw within a specific number of days depending on where you live (14 days in the EU / UK, 7 days in Canada, Brazil, China, South Korea, 5 days in Singapore, and so on — full table in section 3). App-store purchases and payments between Clients and Specialists are handled separately (see sections 6 and 7). To request a refund, contact support@1client.app.
1. About This Policy
This Refund Policy ("Policy") sets out when refunds are available for amounts paid in connection with the OneClient platform ("Service"), operated by OneClient Tech L.L.C-FZ ("OneClient", "we", "us", or "our"). It forms part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Capitalised terms used but not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.
Subscriptions purchased through our website may be sold through an authorised third-party reseller acting as our Merchant of Record (the "MoR"). Where this is the case, the MoR's own buyer terms and refund policy may also apply to the Transaction. Where there is any inconsistency, the highest level of protection available to you under applicable law will prevail. Nothing in this Policy or in any MoR's terms limits your mandatory consumer rights.
2. Global Refund Rules
2.1 General rule
Unless required by applicable law or otherwise stated in this Policy, all Transactions are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Partial-period refunds for unused time in a billing cycle are not provided.
2.2 Free trial
Specialists can use the Service free of charge for the trial period stated at sign-up (currently fourteen (14) days unless stated otherwise). No Subscription Fee is charged during the trial. You may cancel at any time during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your Subscription begins and the applicable Subscription Fee is charged.
2.3 Refunds will not be issued
Where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, manipulative behaviour, or breach of our Terms of Service, refunds will not be issued.
2.4 Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in this Policy limits, excludes, or modifies any mandatory consumer right available to you under the law of your country of residence. This Policy does not affect your rights in relation to a Product which is not as described, faulty, or not fit for purpose (see section 5).
2.5 Effect of refund
If you receive a refund in accordance with this Policy, your access to the Subscription will cease at the time the refund is issued.
3. Country-Specific Statutory Withdrawal Rights
Where the law of your country grants you an unconditional right to withdraw from a digital-content or services contract and receive a refund, that right applies and overrides section 2.1.
3.1 European Union, European Economic Area, Switzerland, United Kingdom
Consumers have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw from digital content and service contracts and receive a full refund. The right to withdraw applies to one-off purchases and to the first payment under a Subscription. It does not apply to subsequent Subscription payments, except as described below. Where a Subscription includes a free trial, a fresh 14-day withdrawal period begins on the day the trial ends and the first paid Subscription period starts.
If your Subscription is annual and was purchased in the United Kingdom, a fresh 14-day withdrawal period begins on the day the Subscription auto-renews for another year.
The right to withdraw does not apply to digital content that has started to be downloaded, streamed, or otherwise used where you have given express consent to waive your withdrawal rights.
To exercise this right, you must request a refund within 14 days of the Transaction (see section 4).
3.2 Turkey and Israel
Consumers have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw from digital content and service contracts and receive a full refund. To exercise this right, you must request a refund within 14 days of the Transaction (see section 4).
3.3 South Korea, Brazil, China
Consumers have a 7-day unconditional right to cancel digital content or service contracts after delivery and receive a full refund. To exercise this right, you must request a refund within 7 days of the Transaction (see section 4).
3.4 Canada
Consumers have a 7-day unconditional right to cancel digital content or service contracts after delivery and receive a full refund. To exercise this right, you must request a refund within 7 days of the Transaction (see section 4). You acknowledge having received access to a French version of this Policy on request. Vous reconnaissez avoir reçu une version française de cette politique sur demande.
3.5 Singapore
Consumers have a 5-day unconditional right to cancel digital content or services after delivery or first access and receive a full refund. To exercise this right, you must request a refund within 5 days of the Transaction (see section 4).
3.6 Other jurisdictions
Any other mandatory consumer right that applies to you under your local law will be honoured. Contact us at support@1client.app to exercise it.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund for a Subscription Fee, you may either:
- use the "View receipt" or "Manage subscription" link in your Transaction confirmation email;
- follow the buyer-support link provided in your receipt (where the Transaction was processed through a third-party reseller); or
- contact us directly at support@1client.app and we will assist in processing the request.
Where you exercise a statutory withdrawal right under section 3, please indicate the country in which you are resident so we can apply the correct timeframe and process.
Where eligible, refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original Transaction and, in any event, within 14 days of approval of the request. The time it then takes for the refunded amount to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer.
5. Refunds for Technical or Product Defects
If you experience persistent technical issues with the Service or a material defect that prevents you from accessing the features or benefits as described:
- contact us first at support@1client.app to attempt to resolve the issue;
- if the issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable time, request a refund (see section 4);
- where there is evidence of a material technical or product defect, a refund will be issued in accordance with applicable consumer-protection laws.
6. Subscriptions Purchased Through Apple or Google
Where you purchased your Subscription through the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, the merchant of record for that Transaction is Apple or Google respectively — not OneClient and not any third-party reseller we may use for web Transactions. Refunds for those purchases are governed by the relevant store's terms and processed by the relevant store. To request a refund:
- Apple App Store — visit reportaproblem.apple.com and follow the process for the Transaction in question.
- Google Play Store — visit Google Play's refund support page .
Once Apple or Google has granted a refund, your Subscription access ends and we will sync the cancellation on our side.
7. Payments Between Clients and Specialists
When a Client books a Specialist Service through the Service, the Client and the Specialist enter into a direct contract. Payment for that Specialist Service is typically made in person between the Client and the Specialist, and OneClient is not a party to that payment or to the underlying service contract. Refunds for Specialist Services are therefore determined by the individual Specialist's cancellation and refund policy and by any applicable law, and are arranged directly between the Client and the Specialist (see Terms of Service, Section 10).
8. Add-Ons and One-Time Transactions
Where we offer add-ons linked to a Subscription, those add-ons expire when the Subscription ends unless stated otherwise. Refund eligibility for add-ons and one-time Transactions follows the same criteria as the main Transaction, unless local law provides otherwise. Items that are delivered and fully accessible immediately may be non-refundable once delivered, except where required by law.
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Please contact us at support@1client.app before raising a chargeback or dispute with your bank, card issuer, or other payment provider. If you initiate a chargeback or payment reversal, access to the Service may be temporarily suspended while the matter is investigated. This does not affect your lawful rights to dispute a charge under card-scheme or consumer-protection rules.
10. Discretionary Refunds
Outside of the statutory rights in section 3, a discretionary refund may be considered if a request is submitted within 14 days of the Transaction date. Submission of a request within this 14-day period does not guarantee a refund. Each request is reviewed case-by-case, taking into account the nature of the Service, the reason for the request, usage, and any applicable contractual terms. A discretionary refund granted in one instance does not create an obligation to provide refunds in any other instance.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, applicable law, or our practices. The version in effect at the time of your Transaction governs that Transaction. We recommend saving or printing a copy for your records. We will post the updated Policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Where the changes are material, we will also notify you by email or in-Service notification.
12. Governing Law and Resolving Disputes
This Policy is governed by the laws set out in our Terms of Service. Where a Transaction is processed by a third-party reseller acting as Merchant of Record, the reseller's own buyer terms may also apply, including their governing-law and dispute-resolution provisions. In all cases, your mandatory consumer rights under the law of your country of residence prevail.
